We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to join our executive team as Director of Tooling & Injection Molding. This individual will oversee all aspects of thermal forming tooling and injection molding activities , driving excellence in manufacturing, innovation, and team leadership to support our company’s strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute strategies for thermal forming tooling and injection molding that align with organizational objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and cost-efficiency.
- Operations Management:
- Oversee the maintenance, design, and development of tooling and molds.
- Ensure efficient operation of all injection molding machines, maintaining optimal performance and uptime.
- Implement best practices for process optimization, cycle time reduction, and waste minimization.
- Team Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of engineers, and technicians staff.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence.
- Budget and Resource Management:
- Manage budgets for tooling and injection molding equipment, and machinery, ensuring cost control and alignment with financial targets.
- Evaluate and propose investments in automation, equipment, tooling, and technology to senior company leadership.
- Safety, Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Ensure all safety rules, policies, and processes are being met and comply with industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with quality teams to resolve issues and maintain the highest product standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with operations and production management, product development, sales, and supply chain teams to meet customer demands and support new product introductions.
- Act as a technical expert for tooling and injection molding in executive discussions and customer interactions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field
- 10+ years of progressive experience in tooling and injection molding, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven expertise in managing large-scale injection molding and thermal forming tooling maintenance programs.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing technologies, automation, and materials science.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Bi-lingual (English / Spanish) is a must.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $95,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
